BS (Hons) Physics

BS (Hons) PhysicsIn this degree, you will develop/ get/learn knowledge and understanding of key concepts in theoretical physics and the underpinning mathematical ideas and methods. It will teach you ways to use essential techniques and relevant software / package, and acquire skills in  human action like communicating arguments and conclusions clearly and briefly. You’ll explore the ideas of contemporary (modern) physics, including Newtonian mechanics, special relativity, electromagnetism and quantum mechanics. And have thechance to get  a great plenty of practice with the tools of applied mathe, including mathematical methods, mathematical modelling and numerical analysis.

Duration

The duration of program is four years, 8 Semesters and each semester comprises of 16-18 weeks

Entry Requirements

FSc/A-level with Physics and Math or equivalent as per U.E Rules.

Age Limit

Age limit is not applicable in this program.

Merit Calculation

[ (Marks Obtained in SSC / Total ) x .30 + ( Marks Obtained in HSSC / Total ) x .70) x 100]

Degree Requirements

The degree includes of  a hundred thirty five (135) credit hours earned over a amount of 4 years (Eight semesters). The students are going to be awarded degree subject to attaining:
  • Minimum CGPA needed to qualify for a degree is 2.0
  • Qualifying the University Comprehensive Examination
The UE Examination Department underneath the steering i.e the guidance of the Division can conduct Comprehensive Examination once roaring completion of the course work. The Comprehensive Examination will consist of six papers. Each paper shall accommodates  2 core courses and can be prescribed by the relevant Board of Studies.
  • 1st Comprehensive Examination at the end of second year =3 papers
  • 2nd Comprehensive Examination at the end of fourth year =3 papers

Objective

  • To modify the scholar to possess a broad and balance information of Physics
  • To develop  thorough understanding of various basics of physics among students
  • To develop in thorough understanding of  specialized area of physics
  • To develop problem solving skills among students
  • To develop skills in written additionally as spoken language in English in students

    Degree Completion Requirements

    Must have studied and passed the prescribed courses, totaling a minimum of 130 ( hundred thirty ) credit hours and having CGPA a minimum of 2.0 on a scale of 4.0.

    Eligibility Criteria

    The minimum necessities for admission in Bachelor of Computer Science r a minimum of 50% marks in Intermediate (HSSC) examination with Mathematics or equivalent qualification with arithmetic (Mathematics ) certified by IBCC .
